IRC Continues to Feed the People in Honduras and Guatemala
IRC continues to work with missionaries in both Honduras and Guatemala to pass out food to the people who are in much need. As COVID-19 quarantines continue, the lack of transportation and work prevent most people from providing basic needs like food and items to help keep themselves safe from the virus.
In Honduras, Dalton Hines has continued to pass out food, to many communities, including Nuevo Oriental, Trinidad, Mololoa, Ojojona, Primera Avienda, Ulloa, La Vega, Nuevo Horizonte, Santa Ana, Guanávano, Mateo, Tierra Colorado, Guajire, Tizatillo, Isopo, Blvd. Kennedy, Diamante, Didasko, Los Pinos, Baxter institute, Sector 6, and Sector 8.
In Guatemala, Dunc Dyason, the Director at Street Kids Direct, continues to use the funds to feed those in need around the country. They have distributed much needed food and basic necessities to help them combat COVID both in Mixco and Guatemala City.
Here are two videos from Guatemala:
We are so grateful to all who have donated so far, we are far exceeded our goal of $36,000. We have had $50,207 donated so far, and we have been using this to expand the food distribution to more communities and families. We are continuing to raise funds and hope to raise an additional $6,000 to help sustain these families and communities through July.
